House fundraiser
An evening at home for friends, family and supporters that raised £3,000 in a single night for partner programmes.
£3,000 raised
Art auctions, house fundraisers, dance classes and gatherings — every event we run is designed to raise money for the people already doing the work, and to bring more people into that work with us.
Two hours from CUAMM's headquarters, we joined the team behind their summer fundraising evening — sourcing the artwork, setting up and running the auction — and the night raised £38,000 for frontline care.
This was CUAMM's event, and our role was to help make it work. Our team took on the art: children we work with donated paintings they were proud of, artists we had connected with donated pieces of their own, and we sourced, framed and catalogued every work. On the night we helped with set-up and ran the auction itself. Guests bid not just for the art but for what it funded — CUAMM's medical work and, later, the appeal towards a new ambulance for Cabo Delgado in northern Mozambique.
We worked alongside the events planning company Diva Events, who produced the evening — the venue, the running order and the flow of the auction — and it was a first lesson in what it takes to put on a fundraiser at this scale.
For the young artists it meant recognition — their work hanging beside established artists, with their names on the wall. For CWF it was the start of everything: proof that a student team can contribute real work to a serious fundraiser, and move real money to the people who need it.

A selection of the works our team sourced for the auction. Every piece was given freely — by children with a passion for design who wanted their work seen, and by established artists who wanted it to count for something.

Beyond the auction, we run a rolling programme of smaller events in the UK and abroad — each one raising funds for partner programmes and growing the network of people behind CWF.
