Meet the founder

Started by a student who refused to wait.

Lia Moskov started Children Without Frontiers in 2024, while still at school in London, after a year fundraising with Doctors with Africa CUAMM showed her how far UK support travels in the hands of the right people. In 2025 she established it as a UK charitable trust.

Rather than build another organisation from scratch, she designed CWF around one idea: back the doctors, teachers and community groups who already know their neighbourhoods best — with funding, rigorous governance and a young, energetic network of supporters in the UK. Since then she has raised more than £30,000 for frontline partners, run an art auction for 200+ guests, taught fundraising dance classes, volunteered daily on the neonatal and paediatric wards of Beira Central Hospital, and been interviewed about it all on the Young Pioneers podcast.

Operating directly in high-need regions requires significant capacity, regulatory infrastructure, and safeguarding oversight. Rather than duplicating existing efforts, we channel funds to established NGOs with deep local roots and proven expertise.

Raised online for the women's HIV-awareness association we worked alongside in Beira — funding their outreach to women who have dropped out of treatment.

Ambulance

Cabo Delgado ambulance appeal

Our largest effort to date: fundraising with Doctors with Africa CUAMM towards a new ambulance for communities in Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique.

An art auction with more than 200 guests, showing work our team sourced from young local volunteer artists and children with a passion for design — giving them recognition as well as a cause. Alongside it, donor dinners and a house fundraiser that raised £3,000 in one evening.

Dance for good

Weekly dance classes for 15–20 students, planned and taught by our founder, turning movement into funds for partner programmes.

Lia joins Doctors with Africa CUAMM as fundraising lead, raising £2,000+ and working with teams at their HQ in Italy.

CWF is born

Children Without Frontiers starts as a student-led initiative to channel UK support to children in Mozambique and Bulgaria.

A charitable trust

CWF is established as a UK charitable trust with trustees, written grant agreements and partner due diligence.

Art auction & campaigns

A 200-guest art auction, dance programmes, a £3k house fundraiser and the Cabo Delgado ambulance appeal push total funds raised past £30,000.

Beira field visit

Daily volunteering on the neonatal and paediatric wards of Beira Central Hospital, plus visits to youth and women's associations.
