Meet the founder

Started by a student who refused to wait.

Lia Moskov started Children Without Frontiers in 2024, while still at school in London, after a year fundraising with Doctors with Africa CUAMM showed her how far UK support travels in the hands of the right people. She has since built it into a trustee-led organisation with its own governing document and formal grant-making rules.

Rather than build another organisation from scratch, she designed CWF around one idea: back the doctors, teachers and community groups who already know their neighbourhoods best — with funding, rigorous governance and a young, energetic network of supporters in the UK. Since then CWF's own campaigns have raised more than £30,000 for frontline partners, she has helped stage a £38,000 art auction for CUAMM, taught fundraising dance classes, volunteered daily on the neonatal and paediatric wards of Beira Central Hospital, and been interviewed about it all on the Young Pioneers podcast.

Where CWF began: we helped run CUAMM's summer fundraiser — sourcing paintings donated by children and by artists we connected with, setting up and running the auction — and the evening raised £38,000 for their frontline care.

Lia joins Doctors with Africa CUAMM as fundraising lead, raising £2,000+ and working with teams at their HQ in Italy.

First event: CUAMM art auction

CWF begins by helping stage CUAMM's summer auction near their HQ — sourcing the art and running the bidding — as the evening raises £38,000.

Building the structure
